Our children are taught to follow, co-operate with one another and do their duty with a positive attitude.

Our children learn that being thoughtful to others is another way to show care.

The children learn that being truthful allows others to believe in them.

Montessori Education

The widely acclaimed Montessori education was founded in 1907 by Dr. Maria Montessori, the first woman in Italy to become a physician. According to Maria Montessori, the ages from birth till 6 years old are crucial in building the foundation of what will become the future child. Hence, it is important to fill those years with the right learning experiences, knowledge and the joy of discovery.

Guided by her discovery that children are self-learners, Maria Montessori designed a “prepared environment” in which children could freely choose from a number of developmentally appropriate activities. She meticulously designed and created unique Montessori materials such as multiplication boards that use beads and movable alphabet that allows children to use wooden letters to form words and sentences. The environment and materials are such that enable the teacher to teach each child individually in each subject guiding him according to his interests, aptitudes and needs.

Maria Montessori also emphasized learning through all five senses, not just through listening, watching, or reading. Montessori also laid a huge emphasis on learning from and about nature and the living world around us. Experiments, observing lifecycles of plants and animals, learning about continents and cultures are all part of the Montessori experience.

The Montessori method of education develops the whole person — not merely his intellect, but also his powers of deliberation, initiative and independent choice.
